Shaped like a wedge with a surprising punch. This 1984 Celica Supra packed a 5M-GE, 2.8L DOHC fuel injected inline-6, rated at 150hp. The power plant provided enough for great racing in tight auto-cross tracks. The overall performance of the car was great when it came out and still is today.

Slowly the need for a more powerful engine arouse and a spare 6M-GE was swapped in. In addition to the engine swap a Thorley header was installed with a complete header back exhaust system. To help rev up the response the engine a light weight Fidanza flywheel was installed. Also to put that power the ground a custom kevlar segmented clutch was ordered to do the job. The 6M-GE provides 190hp under stock conditions and with the modifications the new specs are to be speculated.
